Yarara (UAV)

The Yarara project is the first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) programme in Latin America, and the first to be produced in series and for export. The system is developed by Nostromo Defensa for surveillance, border patrol and reconnaissance. Unveiled at the Air Show of the Argentine Air Force on 10 August 2006. The manufacturer says it has been produced in small series for export to an unidentified customer in the United States.

Payload capability: 5 kg, Endurance: 4 Hrs, Wingspan: 4 Mts, Engine: 5.5 Hp gas-propelled, Range: 20 km, Cruise speed: 100 km/h

The vehicle was named after the yarara South American snake.
